"note to self: always print out the designs first!"

That's exactly what Frank always said !
  • I say this all the time as well.
If I'm doing it all the time is another question ;)
  • How much would you want for the "ugly" boards?
  • :> i have no problem with ugly.
the sockets are mounted to this board still right?
  • what do i know of designing PCBs…..?

  • I like one jullian! Looks like there is plenty space for drilling a hole next to the other hole.
  • I'm interested! How much are they?

    Thanks
  • 'ugly'board alone?
'ugly'board included in a kit with parts?
'ugly'board included in a kit with parts + backplate?
  • I'd take an "ugly board" as well.
  • me ugly!  ;;)
  • This would be sick. I want to get the kit but if this is coming I'd wait. My eurorack would be happy with this integration. ;)
  • I can't wait for this!!
  • i should get the matching standoff bolts over the next days.
then I'll send fcd72 a set for the new backplate :)
  • We don't want you to get bored because you run out of work. What would Christmas be without the nice smell of freshly burned Acryl?
  • I just received all my NeinOhNein and AteOhAte PCBs from Stacey at Hexinverter, and don't mind about an "ugly" board myself if you still have some in stock, julian...

But the next run would be good as well, as I still have to solder most my modular anyways ;)
  • you're so right julian, freshly burned acryl belongs to christmas like tin belongs to solder :))
  • Is there any schematic for the trigger outs? I'd like to start building the case, but like to add the trigger outputs before. Would only need v-trigges for eurorack.
  • So, how is the trigger-out kit doing?

Do we have a back panel made?
  • Nope for the Backpanel. Waiting for the final revision of the Board…..
  • got the shipping confirmation for the propper boards today.
they should be here in a few days, then will go straight to fcd72 if I aimed for the correct hole position this time ;)
  • Very good news!
Will there be an extra firmware for it?
  • no, runs with the stock firmware.
I still have to code the clock divider and fix the reset jack bug ;)
  • Batch 1 pcbs (non-flat black) would need a Bootloader update right?
  • no. batch 1 PCBs are missing the trigger IO expansion header and you have to solder some cables to the female mainboard connector.
  • Would these cables be the only thing or we need the bootloader update too?

I guess we´ll find out once the trigger kit is out, I am just being anxious... : )
  • the firmware/bootloader already supports the trigger outs. just connect it and it will work.
  • btw: with the batch1 LXRs one can also solder the expansion cable to the mainboard instead the mainboard connector on the pcb. it may be a bit messy, but no mess and flying cables can be seen through the case this way.
