So I got my case today to go on the LXR i built yesterday .... what a great little machine this is and the case makes it feel lovely.
In all it took about 6 hours of work and very little headache apart from the screen mounting process which threw me a little but all was well in the end.
Massive thanks to Julian for such a brilliant piece of kit
Build mine, was pretty easy. Fastend my fresnells with transparent super-glue - was a bit tricky to get off the excess. But the key to success is patience and let the stuff dry up and due to the excellent powder-coating of the enclosure it was easy to get it off with a fingernail.
One remark, maybe it is a good idea to screw the top to the bottom part first, before mounting the PCBs. As mine bent a little bit upwards and left a little cleavage of about 1mm in the middle, so i had to push the sides to get it sitting flat.

The first batch of cases is bit experimental in order to establish smooth production, therefore there can be few cases where bottom part edges bending causes middle of top part rise up. That can be solved easily by adding 3mm washers on the bottom part. Use superglue to fix them on the holes, wait for couple of minutes and then put case together. Washers will not allow top part to bend upwards.
Seems my case will take more time. I used pressed bolts for new design, but I need to find a way to hide the "ghost" circles. All this will take some time, so I think there will be no cases from my side in this year- there is only roughly one month production time in this year.
I have to check if/how many cases are left. I had to return a few of them to fix the powder coating and I don't know when I will get them back. But there should still be a few available when they are fixed. And I'm sure there will be another run soon.
i put the Girts case together last night and it is a beauty! I did save the task of cutting/gluing the Frenel lenses until over the holiday break. the paint and screenprinting is sharp. very impressive.
hey guys, some photos of your new dressed lxrs would be nice to see ; ) just for fun, we believe you they look nice, but such a special occasion deserve a few photos more
For those of you still waiting. I had to return a few cases to be repainted cause the powder coating was faulty. I have no confirmed shipping date yet for receiving them back, but there is another batch coming in short time.

Could you please do me a favor and measure the dimensions of the case (without knobs etc.)?
My case is delayed but I'm now designing some multi unit stand and want to know if it will match to Elektron gear. Thanks a lot in advance!
I would like to buy one of this new metal case/enclosure.
I have already installed the trigger expension.
How can I put my name on the list?
Love this LXR drum synth !!!
