I don't think you should use resistor networks for the leds. That way it can be very hard to make a custom color scheme using leds that need different resisors. For the switches it would be great.
s-trigger is a switch trigger. so it's basicly a switch. it connects to ground. i think you don't need s-trigger. nice to have would be a few choices on trigger length and 5v or 10v ...
I 've had a few times that the tracking shows it to be somewhere on the other side of the world at 8 o' clock in the morning and then the doorbell rings at 10 o' clock with the delivery....
I noticed the frontpanel pdf is larger then the fcd72 case design files. I was designing a case myself on basis of that pdf so i checked it with Franks files and they are really different.
I'd like it more like this
knob 1: move cursor
knob 2: left = upper, midleft = lower case, midright = numbers, right = symbols
knob 3: scroll through all available symbols
I don't know if that would be elegant... you would need letters all over the box. It was something like this1 pot moved the cursor.1 pot jumped between numbers small letters and capital letters1 pot would scroll thru the letters. In the meantime it …
@Julian ... that makes sense... Also the entering of the letters for the naming is a bit complicated. I've seen a synth where it was done in a very smart way but i can't remember wich one. But i think it would be possible to use more pots for this.
Why did you do it like this with the LFO's... I noticed it behaved in this way but i don't yet see the benefits of it.Why don't you just sum the parameter + LFO modutation?
I'm with fcd72 too ... it's drumsynth, but it's also a drum sequencer. If a few extra miditracks dedicated to sequencing drums could be squeezed in there in would be great.. Nothing fancy just one note per track & velocity, no note duration CC's…
I also noticed i have to press buttons twice... i thought it might have to do with using them without the switch caps. But they do give a click so i might have to do with debouncing. Also the pots are to sensitive sometimes with values flickering be…
As far as i can tell there still might be some changes... But if there are any they are probably small and if you order the bom you will have it 98% right and maybe have to order a few extra pieces later or have some pieces left.
I find that for the sounds i've been making until now the slope is always between 3 and 10 ... In think there could be some scaling there... Transient samples could be louder... Now it's kind of the same volume as the rest at 127. It would be ok if …
So 50ms is enough for a 808 clap transient Change the .txt for .wav ... It's 44.1khz 8 bit wav
Will the firmware be open source? will we be able to make our own build with our own transients?
Would it be a problem to make transient samples from all the famous beatboxes? It's free to use them in your music so i don't see there is a problem using them as transient samples. It would be nice to have a collection of Linndrum, TR-X0X, Kawai R10…
It needs an SD card to boot up.... so run out to a shop and get yourself an SD card... I found one really cheap in a tabacco shop near here. Cheaper then i can get them on the internet.
I find it strange ....The normal TACBLK switchcaps are perfect for the TL1100... I noticed that all the round ones i got (MOUSER but the same as in the kit) are to big and need glue or something.
