@drkorg: very nice video! btw
@fcd72: I'll contact you soon about that. i am nearly convinced i don't want a diy case after all and am leaning towards standart case + holes for trigger io jacks
Same here, i tested the v-trig one.
First the clock in/out didn't seem to work with anushri, but a ic turned out to be faulty in the anushri. (The hex buffer for clock io) I have not replaced it yet, but will soon and then be able to finally confir…
thanks fcd. i totally forgot about those. i think i'll ebay me one of them.
i listened to a few ssl demos and while it sounds really nice on a mix, i figure it is not as good for "compressor as sound design device" like bassducking and stuff like t…
whats the resource for those ssl compressor thingies ?
i found some stuff googeling, but a lot of forums seem to be linking to sites that are down.
is there a shop for pcbs / group buy somewhere?
i was looking for a compressor for some time now...
it will get worse, believe me
you better start ordering components like resistors in packs of 100.
it started with a shruthi for me and now i can't move in my room without tripping over some electonic devices, cables or boxes of components. (liter…
nice to hear you are working on this.
>> Gate length per step uses too much memory.
is there any available pattern memory?
.. like 3 or 4 bit per step??
the problem is the pattern loading time, or memory at the mainboard?
i was thinking ab…
maybe a problem with the 595 registers.
the problem is only with some leds, right?
you could switch two of the 595 ics (a working one and one that drives the leds with the problem) and check if that moves the problem to other leds.
check the last p…
there is something else i noticed:
i would like a "gated" instead of triggered behaviour for some drums.
(specially the hihat to play open/closed with one button)
to work around the fact that the LXR only triggers the drums i tried sending a cc for…
nice graphics!
i'll print those out when they are ready.
i am not sure if yyou got everything right, but i think you can check the editor if you got everything
i see.
soldering cables is no problem.
i didn't know you got an eurorack.
looking forward to some sp modules
i'ts time i finish all the module pcbs i got in my stack.
Sounds nice.
My modular (and related knowledge) is still very small, but i think thats all one would need.
This is basically gonna be some 74hc156 and 595 that connect to the expansion header on the serial bus, right?
lets postpone this discussion until you guys have ur units built.
i think in general it depends on your way of doing thing / style of music / etc. if more steps per pattern or chaining works better. but i have the feeling once you try the LXR a lot …
should be possible. the unit runs on dc power. it needs 600mA. voltage needs to be >7v for the regulator to be able to generate propper 5v rail but should not be > 9v so that the regulator does not get to hot.
i am no expert on batteries so i…
