i think it is not implemented because cv clock to midi clock would need a rate of 24 ppq or some kind of software trickery that might introduce jitter in some cases. i think this was discussed before, but can't find the thread right now.
inspired by papernoizes demo i did a little demo of my own today:
might be a little out of tune because i added the penrose output with a cv sequence in a module that is not very precise.
can't find the original thread were julian explains it, but i found this:
- you need a folder on the sd card named "samples"
- put some 16-bit mono wavefiles in there (not more than 490kB!)
- on the load screen there is a new option "load samples"

sure, when inputing only logic values it would work without hardware change, but the bit about the note value is not really practical imho.
how would you convert a voltage into a number of triggers?
what would you use this for? maybe there is a way…
i think inputing values would need a hardware change. it would require some kind of analog to digital conversion. the current hardware just translates the input into logic high or low.
set global settings gate mode parameter 'mod' to on
now when the end of the amp envelope reaches 0, the trigger ends. (also a note off is sent)
you can use the length of the envelope (for example the decay parameter) to change the gate length.
thi…
thats great news adrian!!
any chance to do a version with hole for a d-sub connector on the back to have the trigger i/o ports directly in the modular?
just had a little wiggle with this.
seems to work just fine !
modulating the length of the gate is a lot of fun, as i expected
in my opinion the "ch / oh cutting each other off"-thing can be used as a feature.
my 909 kick (clones from hex) trig…
i think it would be cool if the length is a modulation destination & destination for the automation sequencer.
to archive this, i think it would make sense to use a voice parameter (which can already be a modulation/ automation destination) inst…
@revok: not without hardware modifications.
i don't think the processor pins that are used for the triggers are able to output analog voltages. they probably could be used to talk to an external dac though. other than the dac there would be the need…
that trigger riot looks like fun.
way to expensive for me right now though. i don't even have enough of the very basic modules yet.
adding any kind of gate length to the lxt would be really nice. not sure, if some modules need just a small trigger…
