I have not tested it yet, especially because they are sample based and I fear that replacing my current samples by these will mess up my presets, but I will surely give it a try as soon as possible, maybe with a spare sd card dedicated to the recrea…
Sounds like a problem I stumbled upon. Are you using external clock? To me, it appeared when I had my LXR synced to another clock (computer) with a bit of latency. The rolls would be slightly delayed, probably because they would use the internal cloc…
Thanks a lot brendan.
One thing that I noticed over the weeks is that it is not only the audio output assignment that does not get recalled after a bootup, but also the note assignment on each voice as well as the macros assignments.Just like with a…
Hey, I'm using a 4gb SDHC Sandisk card, works well for me.About the new firmware image with 0.37 here is the link, do not hesitate to bookmark the github!https://github.com/SonicPotions/LXR/tree/master/firmware image
@bonjour
No problem. about my troubles, I don't really have it anymore, especially since I updated with the last firmware from brendan, that implements a fix from Julian for this trouble ( Firmware v0.37 - fixes the scrambled OLED after a AVR soft r…
And if you are using a Mac with your SD card, do not forget to eject your card using a software like Hidden cleaner that helps cleaning out the hidden files that Osx automaticaly puts there when you connect your SD card. Also, do not put two firmware…
Hello bonjour,
First of all, as Brendan mentioned, his version of the firmware is a custom version and therefore should be tested at your own risk. Th LXR is also a DIY project and not a corporate project. As such, before buying the kit, you are awa…
I also noticed this bug just before a liveset. The output assignment is correctly written but not correctly assigned, everything goes to stereo. The only way is to go over all voices and re-assign the outputs.
I also have noticed the same bug but wi…
Yes exactly that's it! I had some trouble picturing exactly the solution here, skipping the first trigger is exactly what I had in mind.Thank you very much! And thank you for you work, especially for reading through all the reports and odd requests …
Hey Brendan,
Great work! Simultaneous rolls are fixed now. Amazing! The video is great too, really clear, I'm looking forward to watch the other ones.
On the topic of rolls:
I totally understand your point of view and I think that your new way of han…
Hello brendanclarke.I have been playing for few months with your custom firmware, one of the early version with kit and individual voices load option. It is a great tool for my live formation.I just uploaded today the new version of the Firmware and…
Hello billy,
Removing solder pads accidentally is a common mistake, it happened to me a lot too!I never tried to place new copper pieces on the board, but I would not try it as you can't be sure the connexion will hold with the traces. The best way i…
Hello guys,
I just uploaded a video I recorded for a gig with Ceephax in december 2015.featuring the mighty LXR, two Shruthis and an homemade spring/piezo stompbox running through the filter of one Shruthi.
I'll try to send some preset asap. When is the raffle deadline?I'll have to spend some time, most of my presets have sample based voices, so I guess that can't work.
You misread me, I totally get it with the note offset. I was just talking about the note setting being saved with the overall setting. I have to get back into it to verify it though, after reading you, I may have missed something and saving it wrong…
I had a look at it with my LXR and ableton. There is actually an offset between what the LXR mention and Ableton Live. Not sure if it comes from ableton or the LXr.But anyway, as discussed "here":http://forum.sonic-potions.com/discussion/comment/6394…
I understand thta you may conclude that LXR is a difficult machine. I had a lot of questions, card troubles and ableton syncing problems. Thing is, I mostly found the answers myself and ended up learning more. Just don't give up, come to the forum a…
Well that's also what I thought but the card trouble I had we're coming from my old 512mb as card I extracted if an old tomtom navigation system. Now with my sandisk 4gb sdhc card, LXR is working perfectly.
No I was just saying I have the same sandisk SD card.
I had the same problems before but with another card and bad formatting. I remember I had quite some sweating time figuring how to format properly, maybe you should also look this way.
Check oth…
You're welcome.I'm using hidden cleaner. It seems to do the job as I do not have any problem with this soft and my new sd card!Hope you'll make it work.
As far as I know, the USB cable is for midi and sysex communication only. So you will not be able to mount your card like that. You need a card reader or slot on your Mac. You can format your card on osx using the disk utility easily.
As for your er…
Hey I have not given any news about this problem, sorry for this.
So for me, using another sd card did the trick. I remember also using an osx cleaner to erase the hidden files just before ejecting the device.
I also had some trouble formatting wit…
Yes there is an offset compared to ableton. That's just the way it is, once you know it, it is just fine. As for the preset thing I guess it is just coherent with the fact that the LXR is a sequencer in itself and is not made primarily to be sequenc…
The first time I used my LXR with ableton I had te same behavior.
Check for the midi filtering parameter first, then carefully assign each voice to a specific note. Set up all of them. Don't forget to save your preset (the note setting is preset dep…
@julian
Thanks for your answer.
I jiggled the power connector, LXR is stills running.
It never happens when powered, it is always only on boot ( when I insert the power plug).
I just bought a new SD card:- Firmware update works well- Samples uploading works well too
But the weird symbols on the screen problem is still there. So I guess it is not linked to the firmware or the SD card…
I really wonder where it comes from, h…
