i think I've found a bug in the channel management.
I wanted to set drums 1, 2, 3 to channels 10,11,12 and leave everything else on channel 10. That way I can play chromatically from my Midibox without resorting to CC twiddling. So I set the channe…
Brendan,Can confirm that external midi clock now works perfectly from troublesome devices before (Midibox). I'm also pretty sure the click on deep drums has gone as well. Well done mate, awesome work.
You can't play it chromatically though. It'll only play the drum when you hit the correct note on the keyboard. Also there's a bug where C-3 on the LXR is trigger by C-1 on the synth. Everything is 2 octaves out.
Sorry, I wasn't inferring that the click issue is related to the external clock. Merely pointing out there are other bugs related to external sequencing.
Note: The LXR is pretty dodgy from external. I have to drive it with clock filtered out by another box. Even if I set the LXR to filter out clock, any clock present on the socket will cause it to only play about 1 note a second.
I get this too! Exact same as windspirit. I'm running BC's firmware and driving from a MidiboxSEQ. Only noticed on Bass Drum and just ignored it since I'm more concentrating on learning my MB than what it sounds like. It is an issue though. How to b…
Hi Brendan,Is there any chance of fixing the Midi channel bug where the voice channels aren't saved with the kit? This bug also exists in the original firmware.
I've found a bug with this. Triggering the LXR with my Midibox. If I send C-2 from the MB it equates to C-4 on the LXR. The notes on the LXR are all 2 octaves higher to anything else. I tested this by triggering the LXR from my piano and adjusting n…
hi Brendan, does your firmware support saving instrument midi settings globally? I'm driving the lxr from a midibox and it's a real pain setting up channels for every kit.
Downloading----->One huge thing for me, (I think I read right) is you can now triger via the drum select button while in edit mode. So you can hear what your doing while designing a sound without playing the sequence.
This just made me want to tr…
Reflow the solder on your LED's. Not sure about the case and buttons. I found a couple that would stick and a bit of reseating the buttons with blutack fixed it. Didn't see any as angled as your finding. Try putting the buttons in after putting the …
Thanks. Julian emailed me and said the same thing. I was tricked by the picture and right enough, the datasheet has the correct part number. w00t! Nice knobbies for my Midibox build.
I also have the wrong pots but I chose to stick with them and make the case fit as best as it can. I've actually got it in and straight with minimal PCB bending. Not ideal but I couldn'r be bothered trying to desolder pots.
@Flo. I'm sorry your fix …
Sounds great. I'm guessing this is firmware for the OWL programmably platform/pedal? Your website doesn't actually give any indication of what it is though.
I guess I'll wait till Big J is back online. Geez, I musta spent 6 hours today researching knobs. While occasionally glancing at the perfect one on my LXR.
@adrian and @julian . I'm ok with the pots I have. It's not a clean fit but I slackened some screws off to reduce the bend over the entire PCB and adjusted them so the buttons are uniform height. I realy don't want to desolder and I don't gig so my …
@adrian. Yeah, after pulling the board out these are definitely mounted the only way. The little squigle legs pops through and the thick bit rests on top. Ah well.
