Anyone in the US get theirs yet?

edited July 2013 in General
Still secretly hoping that a big yellow DHL truck stops by tonight, but it's not looking good.  Last update was that it was in Staufenberg, Germany.  Just curious if anyone got theirs yet.  I was really hoping to have it built by my weekly jam with my buddy on Sunday.  (Julian, I don't blame you of course.  I blame the 4th of July ;) )

  • I don't know whats up with DHL these days.
the packages to sweden all seem stuck in hamburg and some of the us orders are stuck in staufenberg for a while now.

I contacted DHL today to know whats up but have not heard back from them yet.
  • I was typing this same question in the "when is it going to be available" thread. Glad my phone died. I'm pretty sure Florida is going to fall off if LXR isn't brought here soon. Separation only makes the heart grow fonder I suppose
  • I'm guessing all of North America is delayed...my case only order has been in Staufenberg since the 2nd.
  • Cheers, guys.  Thanks.  Let's cross our fingers for Monday :)
  • I wonder if they're looking at our drum synths through a PRISM ;)

They are searching for Edward in Sonic Potion´s boxes
  • Hahahahaha.  Fucking Snowden presets ruining it for the rest of us!
  • Don´t know what´s going on in Staufenberg, but it seems every box not delivered is being held there!

In other news, there seems to be a shortage of Solder around the Staufenberg area, and coincidentally most mailmen requested to take a day off.

Unexplained rhythmic vibrations were measured in Germany´s seismometers. Seismologists are evaluating them and elaborating a theory as to their origins.
  • great, the only thing DHL told me is that a package can take from 2 to 15 days and they won't do anything before the 15 days have passed. then i can file a research ticket.
  • Ladies,
dont run havoc, dont panic. From my experience a registered letter to the U.S.of A. take something between 5-45 working days, totally independent of destination, packaging, content and/or Pandabear stickers on the Package.
Actually German Post passes over control to US in the Post Centers mentioned above, thereafter everything else is not under german control anymore, so if the tracking shows its stuck in Staufenberg it means its outside German Customs borders and US Postal service does with these packages whatever US postal service does with packages usually - xRay them, freeze them, stomp on them, let them sit in a corner for weeks, pass them over to a PSY-corps, vacuumize it or whatever.

Its really not in Julians influence and doing a "Nachforschungsauftrag" is also useless before 60 days, because German Post knows this game and just puts any Ticket in a delay line. So please be a bit patient, i have been thru this process a hundred times and no Parcel was lost so far. The only alternative would be using UPS, DHL or DPD Express shipping, which will be something between  5-15 days and better trackable but 4-5 times as expensive.

A similar shipping to Canada takes 4-6 days btw.

  • @fcd72 I did not use registered mail, but the good old DHL päckchen + additional tracking.
But probably you are right. It's just strange that so many packages are just waiting in 1 location for a week now (staufenberg is just a stone throw away from here)
  • Hey Julian relax a little.

We are just joking in anticipation for the LXR´s delivery. I am sure that stuff is happening as usually happens. Sometimes the systems reporting tracking are way behind what is actually happening.

As an example, having my tracking number, I am tracking my package through both DHL´s and my local mail. In DHL´s site, they report that it´s still in Germany with the latest date being wednesday. In my mail´s site, it is reported as having left the country, with tracked dates for thursday and friday.

So it seems that DHL´s system is a bit behind that is all.
  • Just to be clear, I'm not upset at all!  I'm excited for it to come.  No worries at all, Julian!
  • Dhl doesn't have a "left the country"step, I've sometimes had packages go from waiting in Europe to delivered.
  • Usually i lose tracking with a "wurde ins Zielland transportiert".....
Päckchen + tracking is internationally handled as registered mail, its just inside germany its kind of a bastard and only offered to comply international rules (up to 2 kg, registered), You can recognize this by the fact its only offered online and in at the post office i frequently have to argue before they hit the trigger on their scanner to register my shipping....

To cut a long story short: i have no casualties so far, only delays. "Vorfreude ist die schönste" as we say in Germany ;-)

  • As a heads up, it looks like (as others have said), my package is trackable via USPS's website.  Go to:
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction!input.action and enter in the other tracking number (With the DE at the end)
  • aha - it can be found in the small print on the DHL page >:(

"For international Päckchen, shipment tracking is only available in
combination with the proof of delivery service and differs from the
    Paket tracking service.

To track your Päckchen within Germany, enter your 12-digit shipment number in the shipment tracking function at www.dhl.de.

To track your shipment outside Germany, please enter the proof
of delivery code (RM…DE). You will find this on the shipping
information slip that you printed out with your Päckchen label. You will
be forwarded to another page and are asked to re-enter the proof of
delivery code (RM ... DE) and the date you dropped off the parcel.
Please note that, depending on the destination country, it may take a
few days before your shipment is accepted by our international delivery
partners and the shipment data entered in our systems."

The drop of date should be identical to the date you've got your tracking number, or one day after. Most of you have 1.7.2013

  • Just checked this morning, my kit has at least arrived in the destination city of New York!
The status that was posted even said the day before, so maybe it will be out on a truck today for delivery.
  • Mine just updated that it was "sorted" in NYC as well last night.  Hoping for today, but figure tomorrow at the latest.
  • nothing new in canada for the moment :(
  • Exciting!!!!
    Tue, 09.07.2013 20:37 h
    Canada
Shipment is prepared for customs clearance in country of destination
  • Mailman came and went.  Maybe tomorrow...
  • on the road ! Hope my gf could carry it :D

  • Still no status updates from NYC Post Office since July 8th. :(

  • I called yesterday and got nowhere, they offered to place an inquiry but I'd rather not make a fuss. I was assured it was a normal amount of delay
  • Yeah, I don't think we should be too concerned yet.  Mine still shows NYC as well.  I'm hoping it's one of those situations where it's in NYC up until the moment it's delivered ;)

I think they should arrive next week.
Post told me it can take up to 15 days :(
    that would be next week.

I promise faster shipping options in the future!
Just wanted to save you some $$$, and thought the shipping time would be identical.

at least the 1st canadian orders arrived by now!
  • I appreciate you keeping us posted about the post. It gives me time to find my own "victory candy" that will make the first playing of LXR much more of an experience. Make some real acid house.
  • maybe I, too, should obtain one of those mysterious red panels ;)
  • At home :D (Canada)
