  • Yeah, right! Real man have a desoldering gun......
  • Real men have desoldering guns, Chuck Norris is able to desolder AND resolder the same 64-pin IC socket just by the heat of his staring down on it!
  • You are confusing Chuck Norris with Superman.... Chuck Norris doesnt need Chips, the electrons follow his will without silicon....
  • Haha so true, my fault.

Music just happens because Mr. Norris says so.
  • I finished mine yesterday.  I had soldered all the jacks, caps, resistors weeks ago, but had a half day of work yesterday and got the rest done in about 4 hours.

As referenced above, I found it difficult to get the LCD completely flat.  I snipped the comonents unerneath as low as I could but just could not get it where I wanted it.  So it is pressing against my case top...not a big deal though...I think it is just about as high as it can go without pushing on the case.  I put a few layers of electrical tape underneath it to be safe nothing was shorting out.

Also the button tape trick worked out nicely.

I might fill the case test with acrylic paint to make it a bit easier to read.

Finally I must say that this was a very straighforward build with good documentation.  Thanks Julian.  And thank you Frank for the nice case.
