The SD card image can be found here:
http://www.sonic-potions.com/public/SdCardImage.zipThe included Firmware version is V0.21!
The pattern presets are still missing and the sound presets need some further sorting and naming.
I will fix this over the next days.

A problem from my side ?
On an unrelated note, is there a master volume anywhere?
An sd card image clone?
Also, I tried using a different [albeit smaller] SD card and I can now save and load! Smart media seems to work better than the PNY.
Julian, i think you should mention it in the readme file within the SD card image. and maybe in the construction manual too.
i really thought i was to stupid to format a SD card on Linux...
as for the master volume: i guess there is none. should there be one? i don't think it's necessery.
'just' has to be designed first
But for all future kits the SD card problems should be solved with the new bootloader.
I finished it today, still needs some testing, but I hope all these formatting troubles should be solved with the next release.
The bootloader can't overwrite itself.
Sure, I could offer an upgrade service, I just don't know if it makes that much sense.
taking into account the costs for an AVR, shipping, and a little bit for the burning effort, you are very likely in the same pricerange as if you'd buy a cheap avr burner (usbAsp or similar)
give a man a fish...
On the other hand I'm not sure the update is really needed. I don't think you would swap the SD cards for firmware updates that often. And someone with a windows PC to format a new card should always be available. I know there is a way to format the card the right way on OSX, too. I just don't know how. The one guy who successfully did it can't remember what did the trick.
The updated bootloader is more of a convenience for me, as I don't have to advice so many people how to get their firmware update working in the future.
It's as close you'll get to an official formatting util supported by the major (and minor) SD manufacturers.
