When is Sonic Potions first drum machine going to be ready ?

Will there be newsletter or social media accounts ? so we can get updates or announcements

    welcome aboard!

    For a beginning I added a twitter feed to the page.
    As for the release date - I can't give you an actual date. The last prototype is working, and some of the parts for the kits are already ordered. The firmware needs some more work thou, manuals have to be written... so I have to stay with the vague statement around spring 2013.

    Any specifics ? such as;

    will it be a THT DIY kit ?
    will it be case with it ?
    Size of the unit ?

    It will be a big PCB with only THT components and comes with an allready assembled small PCB containing all the SMD parts (cortex CPU and the audio codecs)

    there will be acryl cases available.

    the current prototype is about 133mm x 254mm x 40mm big

    There will be more info available over the next weeks as im getting the last things done ;)

    I'm waiting for the artwork and cases to be finished. Most parts are packed. I hope to get the last big bugs out of the firmware until next week.

    so I'd say hopefully in about 2-3 weeks.

    not yet. I want to fix the last bugs and do some clean up before making them public ;)

    Anticipation is building as I see less and less feedback about bugs! No one in my town knows SDIY so I need to vent my excitement somewhere. And I just broke up with my girlfriend so I could use a badass project

    the enclosures are finally in production! :D
    I just got some cheesy powershot pics so far and no tripod, but here it is:

    So I'm in the middle of preparation for the official release now.
    I can't give an exact date at the moment, but i hope to make it this month! (fingers crossed)

    it's dark neuropa. Semi transparent black/grey.

    Can you say anything about the initial run and what demand you are expecting?
    I'll be on holidays with no Internet access for ~10 days at the end of June/beginning of July and fear missing out.
    Will there be a second run at all?

    Actually the Logo is a quite cool piece of Artwork from a (at least to insiders) well known Artist - i would have acted as a TasteGateTM if it was ugly claiming that it wouldnt be technically feasible otherwise ;-)

    I was hoping to get some better pictures that are not as fuzzy and on my chaotic desk ;)
    But there's lots to do at my day job at the moment :(

    enclosures will probably be around 70,-
    (size is between anushri and ambika *G*)
