I decided to split all the discussions from the firmware version thread since it got really cluttered with a mix of my announcements and all the comments.

any schematics?
do you have any s-trigger devices?
I have a bunch of trigger IO PCBs here.
So far I tested the V-Trigger IO and it is working fine.
I can't test s-trigger
the mechanical layout for these proto boards is not 100% convincing. gets quite crowded below the mainboard and since the 3.5mm sockets are too short to screw on nuts when using a 3mm enclosure, I have to make the board a little bit longer to use an additional standoff as support for the final batch.
Hi!
Happy new LXR owner here:-D
Salute from Stuttgart, Germany
I have been searching something about program change for (at least) the drumkits...
Is this already implemented? (should I read the manual again?)
I should give the whole MIDI implementation some more love!
yeah, make love to midi! I love midi.
btw: local control on/off would be fantastic at well!
then I can use the LXR as percussion synth and controller but record everything on my main sequencer (cirklon)
and play pattern from both sequencers at the same time without having midi loops
I think highest priority are the bugs from the buglist, then the nice to haves/new features.
1. bugs
2. missing features/finetune
3. nice to have
makes most sense. (only my opinion of course)
in 2. and 3. there are some things that require thinking about the "whole philosophy" of the lxr before beeing implemented i imagine.
like the "bipolar vs unipolar" modulation scheme and everything about the sequencer.
maybe for some things from 2. and 3. it is less work if you do them at once though. (like everything midi, which is done all in the same class i imagine)
@loderbast no classes here - all plain C ;-) but yeah, it's all handled at the same place.
nice. i always liked plain c more than all this object oriented mumbo jumbo =P~
to me, the most anoying bug is:
49 - double triggering while recording quantized notes
cool...i had the problem too with the power, but it was not really "reproducable". so 9V should work better.
Another thing I noticed is that it seems some of the DC jacks together with some PSU plugs are a little bit flaky.
I once had a machine rebooting quite often, but there it was clearly due to movements of the psu cable and was resolved by using another psu. For safety I got the DC jacks for the next batch from another source.
but since there are a lot of critical fixes (sync/lfo...) I release it now and make a thorough midi test tomorrow...
;-)
Thanks, man...will try this tomorrow, as i still got to learn for a recertification test.
Anyway i couldn't resist and performed the update - all fine so far !
