    Thank you very much!!!
    The first submission! :-)
Could you provide an artist name and a name of the song?
I would like to present a nice tracklist of the mix.

And please send me a notification with a link to your wave file. Don't post it here. It would be great if the track is not public before. The mix should be a suprise for all listeners.

I will edit the first post to include this into the submission guidelines.
  • Ok cool, I'll remove the soundcloud tonight
  • Thank you!
  • I like the Live set idea and am definitely going to submit something. However I think it could be really fun to do a 'second disc' of the compilation where the only constraint is that all sounds originate on the LXR, but re-sequencing and all forms of sonic re-interpretation would be allowed.exploring the possibilities of the LXR in the context of 'non live' arrangement.

That said, I'm really excited to hear what comes out of all these live sessions :)
  • Maybe this would be a good idea for volume 2. :D
  • I have submitted mine by sending a PM to Mobius. Can't wait to hear the finished comp.

    Möbius - Venom
    Möbius - Antidote

This compilation will be a burner!!!
  • love the idea but hip hop is 80-111

    trap is 114

    house is 122-135

dubstep and new jungle is 140-150

    and dnb is 160-175

then hard core after that sooo the tempos that are stated are a little odd

  • ok i read threw the post i see we are doing 140. Just fyi if you want to put out the sounds on a label as a compilation to buy i have a friend who is always looking to put stuff up on beatport.

    This would be great!!!!

Thank you for the logo. What do you think about the cover?
I just used some pictures from your website and put them together, because I don't have a camera in the moment.
But I wanted to give some impressions to the people contributing to this compilation.
I realy like this nice led close-up. :)
  • I hope you do another one of these, i will not make this deadline but would love to contribute once my LXR has arrived. Also looking forward to hearing the current submissions
  • OK, 3 days left!
Who is still working on a track?

    TTS?
    dubtoms?
    mixrasta?
    Lega?
    MaxDFB?
    ceasless?
    Julian?
    jnapster?

  • I might have a second one for you on Friday.  I like the idea of doing a 140bpm and a 70bpm
  • I might have another one as well, if I can get some time to myself between now and then.
  • Working on it!

Just have been really distracted by the Shruthi, Rocket and Volca Keys that arrived here within the last week. :)
  •  I think when it comes to a cover the simpler the better. Just the logo Julian provided with 'Compilation 1' written on it somewhere would look pretty cool. It almost feels that the LXR itself should be heard not seen (not because it's ugly, but because this compilation is about the instrument not the object). At least as far as I understand it ;)

When it comes to 'light processing'.. I don't have any outboard effects, but I was just testing my track through some patches in Usine, running the kick drum through a glitcher patch, and... I mean, Damn!

I have to run it through the computer to record anyway, can there be anything wrong with putting a relatively complex effects chain (or four :-B  ) on the way to the wav file?
  • Please don't use too much effects here!
Some reverb or delay is fine, but please preserve the sound of the LXR.
As mentioned before there are any possabilities to continue with this compilation using another "topic" (e.g. LXR in studio, Sampled LXR, specific styles, LXR as sequencer,...), but here I would like to present the LXR as a stand-alone performance tool flavoured by some external effects.

    New Update:

    Afrit Temple - Ylem
    Afrit Temple - Troglodyte Child
    Möbius - Venom
    Möbius - Antidote
    Radwood - Nak-Ed
Synthetic Solution - Single Malt, Single Hop
    Tebbes - Neptune
    Tebbes - The Crackle

BTW 21 hours to go! :D

    -edited because complaining is lame-
  • Time is up! :D
Thank you very much for your great submissions.
It will be a lot of fun to mix it.
To those who are still working on a track, please tell me how much more time you need.
I don't want to leave someone behind with a half-finished track.
  • 18:00 CET = 18:00 CEST?  [-O<

    Anyway, still working here!
    \:D/
  • I'm sorry, I won't make it until tonight. I prepared some nice patterns. But the LXR crashed while saving – and the project is gone... Count me in for the next issue.
  • Sorry, you are right! :-\"
    I think I am already a bit nervous! :D
  • @ TTS: Sorry to hear this! I hope you had fun anyway.
