  • I've had similar problems. The LXR note is delayed or not always played.Using transport to the LXR works well. So I just use the LXR sequencer.  I'm wondering when rxf = all, the LXR can't handle the extra data from the Octatrack so it becomes delay…
  • You should be able to use Disk Utility to format it to FAT32 in OSX(whatever version you have).https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4189879
  • I am also curious about adding the trigger out to this. Will we be ordering this from the store? Regardless I want that case either way. Girts Seat list (19):Squirts 1Clemdu 1Masarin 1gowron72 1 echo 1 matsu 1 SirCVH 1 cube48 1 tMt 1gianni 1 drakula…
  • As another alternative you can build the USBtinyISP. I've used it for many different things for many different reasons over the years. They are good tools to have handy with anything AVR. It has the extra ten pin connector. I've never had a problem …
  • What a beauty. Erica Synths wins this time. This time.
  • I like the Rogans too. The Shruthi XT came with those or similar. They are nice. Tall and thin easy for big fingers, big visual line, the slotted grip makes it easy to turn.  Cliff looks like #2.

  • I can confirm that the build isn't the easiest. They didn't include IC sockets either, so I'm going to have to get those because I refuse to not use sockets. The instructions are in order of circuit. Parts are somewhat mixed up as they were shipped.…

  • I finished the 9090 a few years ago. I did it in parts as I had the money. Definitely a challenge but many of the parts were standard. It doesn't exactly sound like the 909 since the transistors aren't original. Required for that snare and clap snap…

  • I picked up one of these back on Record Store Day.http://turntablelab.com/products/joe-mansfield-beat-box-a-drum-machine-obsession-tr-909-book-flexi-discs-record-store-day I wish I saw this instead that day:http://turntablelab.com/products/joe-mansf…
  • @janniz This is funny in a great way, but I think you'll like it more with a case. Did you laminate the screen cover?
  • I would think you would have to include the samples when building the software for it.Edit: That being said we should get Julian some samples to fill that space!
  • I used gorilla tape. That's all I had around. A couple of tight buttons required me to trim the tape down so the buttons move. It was a matter of the cover being tight around the buttons and the tape making the button rub the edge of the button hole…
  • Cool job. Nice effort.  Using the arp on Shruthi I was able to come up with some interesting techno/industrial patterns.  The random probability stuff seems interesting. Will try. Love mine too. I'm happy I got this instead of volcas.
  • I noticed two of my buttons didn't "click". I readjusted the tape used to make the button cap more snug on the actual button nub. I reduced the tape in area and the buttons work better. Not sure if this is your problem but I did see it as a problem …
  • I really love soldering in the TL1100s. The click and orientationlessness are bonus. You just pop them on and stay in place while your solder. It's so easy.
  • I did get it to work. I saw a strange behavior with the lxr that was probably buggy while switching to external mode. It wouldn't even switch back to internal. I had to reboot. I can't describe the repro steps.
  • Does the midi transport in not work with this?  I'm using an external midi (Octatrack) to start my sequencers. I didn't find a way to start the LXR sequencer remotely after updating to the latest version.
  • @fcd72 that is cheaper. I see the US price is also $175 where as making the SSL was about 400-500 usd. http://www.groupdiy.com/ is where the GSSL info now resides. There are many more projects to be found there as well.
  • I did a mini set in my livingroom using lxr and yellow magic. It was a little magical. @Bloke I've also done the 9090, two SSLs, and an original MFOS.  The 9090 snare and clap never sounds quite right.  I wonder about the audio bus board....   I do…

  • It came to my door via USPS. It took at least three weeks. It required a signature. I think customs might be concerned by unassembled electronics. I happened to be home recovering broken ribs and clavicle, bicycle accident. The clavicle caused cra…
  • Great to hear you are working on this. Great feature )
