  • Not sure having it on one voice only would help erwanone. If you're going to have one instance of the reverb, you may as well have one reverb, with adjustable reverb send level per-channel. I'm no DSP expert, though. a|x
  • @julian does that mean per-step shift (ie note shift as step parameter)? a|x
  • @julian the Volca/Machinedrum stutter FX is just a retrigger effect, with variable delay and feedback (number of repeats). Would also be cool to be able to modulate the delay time, for Aphex Twin style fun. a|x
  • @Varthdader cool. I used little bits of electrical insulation tape. Only colour I has was red. Like you, I was in a hurry, so I used it anyway. Your can see a few corners of red tape sticking out here and there if you look closely, but its barely no…
  • Beautiful! The only thing is without the circuit board being visible through the case top, parts of the top panel look a bit bare- especially that big area under the four knobs. A minor point, though, it looks amazing! Have you thought about make th…
  • @loderbast that idea sounds good, too. a|x
  • @loderbast I'd forgotten about the substeps. As I understand it, though, you have to have a 'main step' trigger set in order for a substep to sound, so using substeps as a substitute for per-step offset is fiddly at best. On the other hand, if shift…
  • @Varthdader did you use tape over the buttons to keep the caps in place? a|x
  • Anyone think a per-step timing-offset value would be cool? I envisage being able to shift individual steps early or late. a|x
  • See discussion here. a|x
  • I vote for a global offset feature to offset any pattern in realtime. a|x
  • @fcd72 I can understand there's a tolerance, but I've got quite a few items in this style of plexi case, and none are as far out-of-whack as this one, I have to say. The case visibly doesn't fit together properly and it makes creaking noises as it f…
  • @julian The MI Ambika has an interesting take on this. You can save Patches (individual synth sounds, minus step-sequencer, Arpeggiator etc.), and Multis. Multis are composed of several Patches, and also incorporate step-seq and arp settings. The in…
  • @julian Ah, I seeeeeeeeeee. That makes sense, now. It might be clearer if you just said something like 'make sure the jumpers are installed as below '. a|x
  • Ah, another thing in the build guide I remember confusing me when I build my LXR: This picture It's not at all clear what you mean by the 'orientation' of the jumpers. I wasn't aware they had a right and a wrong way around. Or do you mean check th…
  • @julian sounds good! a|x
  • Finished last weekend. Very happy with it so far. a|x
  • @julian that would be how I'd want it, too. I wouldn't want all my beats that heavily shuffled, but I'd like the option to be there. What do you think about the idea of 'shuffling both ways'? a|x
  • I see, thanks for the explanation, Julian. a|x
  • @julian Ah, soo.. to get the correct notes, you'd need to set the Course Tuning to 63, then set the note number step parameter to the note you want, otherwise the notes will be offset? Or not? Am I correct in assuming that if the pitch is swept down…
  • @macMOE I believe so. Julian? a|x
  • The numbers are MIDI note numbers, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, Julian). There's a chart of numbers to notes here:http://www.midimountain.com/midi/midi_note_numbers.html a|x
  • Either option (first/last step parameters or len + offset) would be cool, I think. a|x
  • I bought a 4GB card, and did format as FAT32 using Disk Utility on my Mac (MacOS X 10.8.something), and it worked fine. a|x
  • How about also having an additional 'Offset' parameter? This could go next to the 'len' parameter, and set the starting step. That way, you could have the pattern start at, say, step 7, and play to step 9, before looping back to 7, etc. You could ha…
  • You could do it by allowing negative settings of the length parameter in Mix. So -8 would play 8 steps backwards (starting from the last step, maybe), and 8 would play the first 8 steps, starting from step 1.If that makes sense.. Just a thought.. a…
  • Think I've hit the same bug when changing Sound presets (incidentally, wouldn't 'Kits' be a better name, as 'Sound' suggests a single sound, to me). Selecting the 'Mochita' preset, the kick drum sounds for a few beats, then goes silent. Same issue? …
  • The key with the display is to try and get it as level as possible, solder one pin, adjust, then solder a pin at the other end of the pin array, adjust again if necessary, then solder the rest. I didn't manage to get mine 100% level, but it's OK, an…
  • @paul_v great tip re. the button caps. Just tried it on one, and it works really well! a|x
