I hope most of you are clear about the point, that the use of these switches will need a lot more space, ergo bigger PCBs, bigger enclosures and resulting out of this, a decent higher price...
Let's see:
- CV upgrade fo my MidiAlf!
- Trigger board for my LXR (when finished by Julian)
- getting lost in modular stuff
- refurbishing my complete studio...
I kicked Mavericks for Mountain Lion, as Mavericks sucked in every way. I do not know any Pro using Mav in production environments, many tried and swapped back, as Mavericks nearly sucks more than Windows...
The firmware has been modfied this way, so that you can load patterns while playing, so in a live jam there would not be an interruption to a time you don't like. The pattern refers to the sequencer edit, as far as i know. If you like to save filter…
Hm, failing 595s are not really new to me. Had once a complete charge ordered at the big R, which really sucked...
And about the 165: it is as far as i know one of those ICs of th DIY world, which is really ESD sensitive.
My advice: remove them, ch…
The TT is good enough for the Devilfish mod. And both boxes i laid my hands on were absolutely flawless, compared to the last few TBs i had in my fingers. So i personally wouldn't give too much on a review of a "religious" object in the internet.
Ahem, if it's a TB clone you are longing for the XOXBOX or a Cyclonix may be a better way to go. If you want it diy go for the xox, it's not more expensive than the LXR. Or if you don't want do it yourself go for a Cyclonix TT-303, they are used aro…
When you download the BIN you'll have to right-klick and then "save as", if you download the file by directly klicking the link, you'll get a crippled file. Happened to several other members in this forum...
How do measure this low ? Low on a soundinterface or mixer ? Or low on headphones, which would be absolutely explainable, as the LXR outputs are by far not as hot as the Shruthi for example and you defintely need a headphone amp for proper use.
Works fine so far, but one question is coming up, maybe my ignorance, but aren't the output routings supposed to be saved with a kit ? Yesterday i made a new kit, and every setting seems to be saved except the output routing of the voices.
But Frank, this is more what i like...So back to topic, i usually end up using 6-8 mono inputs for drum outboard gear directly into my interface/ADA. Even with SPDIF you'll end up with 7 drum voices on a stereo/dual-mono input which makes it really …
Why not sparing the money for a small mixer ? You could connect more outboard gear and still stick to your stereo input even do an A/D and then go into your SPDIF input.
Maybe, but then you'll have to stick to one stereo output, instead of 4 mono outputs. The possibilties of the panning and volume matching of the LXR are quite limited and not comparable to an analogue/digital mixing console. So i am not sure if this…
Sorry man, but fcd72 is absolutely right.
Nobody can eventually get hold of the issue, as long as you don get more specific what you have done so far and what exactly does not work. And btw. insulting people won't solve your problem either...
Best idea here is to measure the PSU. If it is an unregulated one with some years of lifetime, it is possible that i cannot deliver enough current to power up the LXR in a reliable manner. Even if measuring is ok, i would try a second, different PSU…
Exactamente: the hotter you drive the input range of your interfaces (as hot as they can bare without clipping), the less pre-amplification is needed on the input channel AD. In case that (i guess) least of us use Metric Halo/Apogee/UAD interfaces, …
