deadline is in half an hour.
I'll put the enclosures in the shop at 11am CET (and 11pm CET) and want to decide the reaffle half an hour before that so people know if they have to buy a case.
a tiny fix that prevents the garbled screen when the AVR reboots. (weird chinese symbols)
probably only relevant for a small amount of customers who had problems with that or for better debugging of a faulty build
ok here is an update.
I will put the enclosures in the shop on friday.
Normal price will be 110,- incl. 19% VAT (non EU folks pay 92.44,-)
But since there is a printing error on the current batch they will be sold for 10,-€ less. So 100,- it is.
The…
Now I have to wait for the still missing accessory packs (display glass etc), assemble a test enclosure, take some pics and then they are ready for the shop.
:@)
no pics so far.
I have the very early prototype metal parts here that are visible on adrians pictures.
But I'm still waiting to see the final enclosure myself, too!
OK I think here's how I'll do it.
I split the batch in 2 and put them up in the shop at different times to accommodate for timezones. I had a few complaints from Australia the last time I said "Friday night at 7 o'clock"
I estimate about 1-2 week…
whats the difference between
"Now I'm taking preorders for 50 cases but you have to pay immediately"
and
"Now there are 50 cases available in the shop which you can buy immediately"
Both result in "first come, first served", just that the first …
I see the problem more in the user interface and code.
making a mainboard with extra flash and a somewhat newer uC wouldn't be that much more expensive.
To get a nice polyphonic sampler (especially if we speak real sampler with recording functional…
I'm not sure about the best/fairest way to handle the initial (and much too small) run.
My experience with preorders has been pretty bad so far. even with just a waiting list.
It always made a huge amount of extra work for me.
A lot of people didn'…
there is no power adapter shipped with the LXR. You have to get a multi purpose power adapter... something like this:
So the transformer will be inside the power plug you use. Best for the LXR is around 7.5V with >=600mA
Shipping is 15€ withou…
the first batch is rather small with about 50 units.
if everything is ok with the enclosures I get a much bigger 2nd batch. I told adrian to already prepare the factory of a 2nd run.
We decided not to make a huge first batch in case something goes …
Adrian told me he is nearly ready to ship the first batch to me. Just waiting for the display windows to be milled. I can't do more at the moment than wait as you do :-/
another thing to note is that you are not restricted to use resistor networks for the LEDs.
normally the five 220 ohm resistor networks drive the LEDs.
you can also leave out the networks and use the spots marked "R_LED" on the PCB to use normal res…
hmmm I have really no idea what could cause the AVR to reset.
In the end it only needs power and GND on 2 pins each, the 5V on the reset line and the XTAL connected to properly run...
But as it seems it is a single occurance during the boot process…
the rubbish on the display as well as interchanged display rows are normally a sing that the AVR is rebooting.
It seems the normal LCD init routine does not work perfectly for OLED displays. So when the AVR reboots without a proper power off to the …
a few kits are back in the shop.
I noticed I'm also missing some PCBs. They are already ordered, but the PCB supplier had holiday until yesterday, so they'll probably get shipped by the end of next week.
The audio jacks are currently missing but on their way. The rest is packed and sorted. So I should have a few kits in 2 days (thats what the tracking says )
this will give me just about 7 kits, since I'm also missing the black key caps which shoul…
great news adrian! can't wait!!!!1elf!
@re5etuk: I should get new switch caps in a few weeks. currently they are sold out everywhere :-/
I could send you one when I have them back in stock
