At the moment, yes they are different. I already commited some of the latest changes to github but have not officialy released the next version.
Normally they should be the same. But I'm probably going to remove the link to my server and limit it t…
OSC > FIN (no apparent change in pitch, when compared to coarse steps)
I don't understand what's the problem here... coarse/fine works good here. It was broken in the latest firmware for voice 4,5,6 (fine not working) but on 1-3 I think it work…
for the record, if you have problems with USB and groudn hums on any device I can recommend the cheap olimex usb isolator https://www.olimex.com/Products/USB-Modules/USB-ISO/
It finally stopped the high frequency whining on my fast track pro usb so…
phew it is finally done and I'm back home! =D
What an exhausting 2 weeks!
After about 1 week it looked something like this
and after a lot more work it finally looked like that (tiles still missing):
feels good to be back home now, but I have a…
as soon as you insert a cable into the trigger in jack, the quantizer will only update the output when a trigger is received on the trigger in jack.
the module detects the cable being present in the jack and switches modes automatically.
are the b…
phew... still on the construction site... but spending 10 - 15 hours a day building a new roof isn't as bad as it sounds when you got a BIG ASS SAW OSCILLATOR
yeah, you only need it to control analog stuff like modular synths and the like.
The trigger IO just outputs a 5V pulse for an active step in the sequencer.
For everything MIDI you don't need it.
No. completely independent things.
Penrose just takes a continuous CV and makes a staircase CV corresponding to the selected notes out of it.
so for example if you feed it with a ramp signal, you won't get a continuous slide, but a glissando consi…
I designed a small galvanic isolator PCB for the trigger IO and just ordered a prototype.
It completely isolates the trigger IO with a DC/DC converter for the power and 12 optocoupler channels.
let's see if it helps. I will report once it arrives.
the trimmer is a multi turn model. so 0->360° is not the full range.
you will hear a faint 'click' once the trimmer is at its end.
but the trimmer only adjusts a small bit of the CV range. so even if it is set to max/min you should hear changing…
ah ok. thats what I meant with flashing it again - kust try the update once more...
but you are right. the presets do not come with the update and have to be put on the SD card separately.
this zip includes the preset files. just copy them to the ro…
have you tried just flashing it again? maybe something went wrong during the update.
with fetch off in the global menu the parameters should change immediately, yes...
for the archives: the LXR detects were audio cables are connected.
if no cable is inserted into the selected out, it routes the signal to the next out were a cable is connected.
so you could make patches where the highhat is routed to out2 through …
sorry I have no idea what the moog werkstatt is capable of. It seems it has no gate/trigger in
a quick google search tunres up this solution from the moog forums
We should ask Julian to rename the version 0.34 to V1.0. There is a thread talking about this, I can't remember the link.
I thought about working through my current bug list for the next update(s) and make the firmware a 1.0 when i'm done with this.
adding new parameters to the voices is not that difficult.
the main reason I ommited the sustain so far is that the LXR was always more intended as a drum module where the sounds are triggered instead of a synth module were sounds are played with a…
how do you have it connected?
just clock and start/reset from tanzbär to LXR?
I can sync it without problems to my eurorack stuff.
do you have another clock/reset source at hand to try it without the bär?
I don't know about the first (hihat) problem. maybe send the preset file so I can check it out myself?
could be a modulation routing problem...
the 2nd one is probably due to a bug in the low pass filter. set the filter to "off" or something else t…
