yeah, you only need it to control analog stuff like modular synths and the like. The trigger IO just outputs a 5V pulse for an active step in the sequencer. For everything MIDI you don't need it.

I designed a small galvanic isolator PCB for the trigger IO and just ordered a prototype. It completely isolates the trigger IO with a DC/DC converter for the power and 12 optocoupler channels. let's see if it helps. I will report once it arrives.
