Duty was under $30 if I remember correctly. @borfo sadly I have left the band. Stage was always laptop, but it was only playing mixed-down backing tracks. Home is where the hardware is

My lxr came through Canada post, had to pay a bit of duty still. I've never had to pay couriers for parts. My last shruthi came by dhl and cost me quite a bit.

I also +1 the Shruthi. I'm building one now and it was super easy. The LXR really isn't tough though. Just tedious sometimes (alot of buttons and LEDs)

Personally, I would go for it only because I get impatient. Although the next batch is scheduled to be released soon, you never know if there are going to be delays. I also like being able to say I got #8 of 20 first editions

Dhl doesn't have a "left the country"step, I've sometimes had packages go from waiting in Europe to delivered.
