if we*re also talking abut comic strips, check out

takes some time to get used to, but i love the timing.

I think Frank is right. It's not done. Features are still added and changed. Be patient. Also: checking the forum every now and then gives you a great insight in this machine and lets you participate in the development process.
Great update. This is a big step forward in usability.
Except that i'm not able to sequence chords anymore =(due to the note off before every new note on.
Maybe, just maybe this could be one for the txt config.
Other than that: i love it!
I'm on no side. and i'm especially not the side of reason, nor have i ever been. ^^
There are a lot of misunderstandings in this thread i think.
First of all my last post was meant ironically.
Secondly (can you even say that?), fcd72 and myself hav…
we're listening to you^^.I'm gessing there is no synth that doesn't recognize Note Off Messages. That really wouldn't make any sense. The only use for "Note On velocity=0" as a message to release notes would be in a sequencer in order to slim down tr…
I really think its a more a standard than a convention and not at all sloppy. Velocity is defined as a value for how hard a key is pressed. It may be nitpicking, but pressing a key with "0" force means not pressing it at all. I can understand your a…
I'm just citing the source you linked. and if you ever do a synth it could be incompatible to some sequencers. I myself think using velocity "0" as a Note OFF is a convention that simplifies a lot of things. I'm currently sequencing my Ambika with t…
"A Note On message that has a velocity of 0 is considered to actually be a Note Off message, and the respective note is therefore released. "
"A device that recognizes MIDI Note On messages must be able to recognize both a real Note Off as well as a…
Wait!I thought that was a feature? ^^It makes messing with the start/stop button so much fun in a live situation. But i probably could live without it, if i have to.
I just checked out the new pitched midi out and it's brilliant. For the gate lenght/note off setting i think it could work that if you press a button while holding down another one, the lxr automatically selects "0" velocity and the note value of the…
I just drilled my own frontpanel using the pdf julian provided as a drill-template. i had to reverse the colours and print it at 101%. otherwise the measurements wouldn't have fitted properly.
i think it turned out quite good.
It's obviously not as …
@julian . I understand that. but implants proposition would elegantly solve this. Perhaps you could press the load/save button and then moving the encoder to the left gets you to the load page diretcly and right to the save page.
+1 for not being able to ruin your work in seconds ^^. that has happened to me alot and i don't seem to learn to avoid it.
I think that loading should also be protected because its just as dangerous.
Both of the suggestions above would work for me.
It's a known "problem". Julian explains it here:http://www.sonic-potions.de/forum/discussion/50/midi-recording-and-lfo-morphI don't know how to elegantly solve this and would be very happy for a good solution.
@MasarinI was never trying to convince anybody to not want 64 steps. All i was saying (although i did that poorly), is that its not that different. On any machine that uses 64-step-patterns you probably have to change the "page" to edit steps 17-64 (…
Chaining patterns is way better than just 64 steps. Just read the section about chaining in the manual and you will see that it has lots of advantages. And its really easy to do.
Reading through this manual was really hard. At least 20 times i thought:"Well, i could be doing this right now instead of reading about it." But other than that its a very good manual.
The one thing i found was:On page 15 chapter 4.2 is called sub …
I can't recreate it at the moment but it could be me, pushing the button in a strange way so it triggers twice. That would explain the "blinking". I have to say that i don't use button caps at the moment and that may add to the problem.
So don't thi…
