  • should be 5 of each as they do different jobs - 595 drives the LED's and the 165 reads the buttons - so your kit came wrong
  • excellent, thanks!
  • The LXR has sent note-off since v0.26 - the manual is out of date
  • Julian is on holiday until the 27th...i'm sure he will help out when he gets back
  • I actually had something that sounded very similar - I had just got my Focusrite 18i6 and wired everything up (OP-1, micromodular via midisport 2x2, LXR via midisport 2x2. I would get weird 'ticks' and digital noise from the LXR whenever midi act…
  • FocusriteScarlett 18i6 -totally reliable USB2 interface, excellent drivers, DSP mixer great for monitoring
  • I claim naming rights!"huskerballs" as in "Did you use huskerballs on your LXR? They are awesome!"
  • cool :-) mine came from my wife too - I use it quite a bit in the 'studio' too as you can use it as feet for music gear that slides around, or wobbles slightly
  • I used blu-tack (or whatever it is called in your part of the world) - worked really well. Just made a little ball to cover the top of the switch then put the cap on this stuff: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-Tack
  • Sounds like it's triggering GAS! hahahahha(I have to admit liking the idea of the trigger out, ordering a kit, then actually buying some gear I can trigger....so far I have resisted)
  • @Lega What firmware version? The note off was added in v0.26 @Julian that change will be awesome!
  • Looking good! I did the same angled design with my all-wood case and I think it help a lot This is the point where Elektron should just buy out Julian and buy your case design and they could produce their best drum synth ever...
  • Ok cool, will stick with the knob twiddling 'LFO' for now - morph in the context of a drum machine is amazing. Has anyone done that before?
  • @tb323 - awesome! we now have LXR dev #3!At the moment changing ROT will also force a pattern generation based on the STP value - would it be possible for ROT to just act on the current pattern, that way we could use it to rotate a manually created …
  • would be interested to read that (in English) - have been curious about your work @ Sonic Core as I had a Pulsar card setup for a few years and was watching with interest the development of the Solaris synth (which looks like it is shipping now). Be…
  • panning value is actually 0 to 127 - (but is displayed as -63 to +64 to be helpful) The LFO ranges between 0 and 1 and simply multiplies the panning value - so the maximum value is whatever the parameter is set to, so to pan full right you need the …
  • true story: after I read Varthdaders last post I visualised drawing the logo with honey, getting some ants to eat it, then burning the ants to make the logo... cool and creepy all at the same timeI decided I didn't want dead ants on my LXR
  • thanks! @Varthdader - the LXR layout is so brilliantly intuitive + with led feedback + display I don't find the need to label anything, so I will probably leave it 'nude'. I would like a LXR logo on there though - think I might burn it into the wood…
  • Mine just arrived today...oh yeah 10 days to New Zealand 'victory sweets' already devoured by my 7 year old, so i'll have to go with victory beer instead
  • Is that the MPX8 AKAI library? The one I have has 2 x 808 kicks 136KB and 178KB (44.1K mono samples) - I wonder if you are converting your samples to something else which is confusing the LXR? Just a thought....
  • Hi there @mixrasta! - actually 2 of us (so far) have ordered the LXR after your posting on that ohpeewon.com thread (dimi3 and me). @Julian owes you a beer
