i don't think the lxr never should shuffle to clock since it can be useful sometimes but it should definately be possible to disable shuffle on clock. i wish i knew how to code then i would implement it by myself..

i was just running into the same and was really happy to find an immediate solution aka firmware update. thanks julian! another thing i wonder about: is it possible to prevent the lxr from sending shuffle to clock out?

spent the previous weeks building a groovesizer but f*cked it up when i soldered an ic the wrong way so my current activity is limited to troubleshooting. beside that there's still my shruthi xt waiting for completion.

regarding pattern length you could chain patterns to achieve 64 or more steps...not exactly what you're asking for but a quite nice workaround (at least for me) [-O<
