@flo: Don't waste your and other people's time with useless posts. Instead take this time to improve your skills. Calm down. You bought a kit, not support. Mistakes can happen anywhere when going the DIY route. Mistakes at the seller, mistakes at th…
Especially the display and the pots should not have any contact with water or other liquids! Not sure if this is possible with a fully populated board. In my experiences the switches are not that critical (but they are not sealed so the will be fill…
My (ex-) girlfriend recommended "Kneadable eraser" (in German Knetgummi) from Faber-Castell. Looks similar to Julians sausages and works great. Got it from a local store for just 1 or 2 Euros.
Depends on the sample rate (not sure what the LXR supports). Assuming a sample rate of 44,1 kHz @ 16 bit mono:
44100 * 16 = 705600 bits/sec = 86kBytes/sec
So at 44,1kHz you only have about 5,69sec., but drum samples are usually very short.
On the hardware side I would check the optocoupler first. Search the assembly instructions for OK1, at least the 5V power supply is tested there. If you have an oscilloscope you could have a look at the input and output pins of the optocoupler.
Would love to see Adrians case too before taking a decision (know the good qualitiy of Adrians Shruthi metal cases)...
Is the Trigger Extension PCB available at the moment (not in the shop currently) to combine an order for case and Trigger IO?
Bought a Yocto kit (no time to start soldering) some weeks before I played with some AIRA devices during Musikmesse. Given that the price of a Yocto (400 Euro without case!) compared to a TR8 (495 Euro) is nearly the same, there is much idealism/hob…
I guess the angle between top an rear is still 90 degrees (see attached image). Looks very nice!!! I like to see more details about the case, also. Would you like to post more images about the case? How did you make the bottom and the rear panel?
You could clean your PCB wit isopropanol and than look again. I always find a couple of solder joints which look not perfect when looking at my PCBs from different views/angles. I've seen a lot of worse factory made PCBs, yours look mostly good.
Is 300mA at 7,5V sufficient for the LXR? I didn't meassure it so far but the instructions said at least 600mA at 7V and my LXR-Kit from the first batch doesn't work properly with two different power supplies wich are rated 500mA at 7,5V while no pro…
After some hours of carefully filing (the cutouts in top and it bottom panel) looks much better. At the end I was much easier to close the case and the tolerances are okay.
Thanks Frank!
How are note offs handled in trigger mode? Are they send at all? Voting for a global (per track?) gate length parameter to make the note mode usable as a beginning.
Same problem as tonburst here. I measured the thickness of the plexi with a caliper and there are differences in my set of panels. While top and bottom panels are nearly 3mm, the backpanel is almost 3,4mm. Front an sidepanels are 3,2 - 3,3mm. Hopefu…
