Expansion headers

Just to double check, the expansion port should be soldered with the pins protruding to the bottom of the PCB, and the AVR ISP to the top?

  • you only need the AVR ISP header if you want to flash your own AVR chips.
    The expansion header has no purpose yet ;)

  • By the way, my kit included a mysterious male pin header, 2x10. I was wondering if it just got in there accidently or "in weiser Voraussicht" for future expansions ...
  • additionally to the isp and expansion header?
    I could imagine this should have been cut into a 2x3 and 2x6 header for isp + exp ;)

    I see. I was just wondering because it never got mentioned in the assembly instructions. But if you look closely you can spot those on some of the pictures ...
