Extreme Shuffle

edited July 2013 in General
Hmm.. the Shuffle parameter, as set in the Pattern params seems a bit subtle to me, even at the maximum value. Is there any way to make it a bit more pronounced? Maybe there's another shuffle setting I'm missing. I quite like having the ability to push a pattern into near chaos. Might be a niche requirement, mind you.

Also, it might be fun to have the shuffle go 'both ways', i.e. have every 2nd 16th note be pushed back by a variable amount (as is currently the case), or pulled forward, for a different feel?

  • the extreme shuffle got somehow lost during the midi sync update a few versions ago.
I just not had the time to bring it back ;)
The way clocks are handled internally had to be rewritten to accomplish tight sync with changing tempos.
You used to be able to shift a note all the way to the next note before. Thats the way I would like to have it again.
  • @julian that would be how I'd want it, too. I wouldn't want all my beats that heavily shuffled, but I'd like the option to be there. What do you think about the idea of 'shuffling both ways'?
