Anyone using the trigger outputs with standard synth voices in eurorack ?

edited March 2016 in General
Hello everyone,

I'm considering buying the trigger extension for future eurorack plans.
I believe that "trigger" CVs work differently from "Gate" CV (short pulses) so I'm wondering if they are usable for anything else other than drum sounds and samples, for example short arpeggios ?

Thanks in advance,

The trigger extension can output "trigger" or "gate". Press and hold shift, then Load/save, select with the encoder MOD parameter.
Off = the trigger extension will output trigger, to trigger drum module, reset some lfo etc.
On = the trigger extension will output gate, the gate lenght will correspond to the parameter value in the page AEG, parameter ATK (Veloc EGAttack). I use gate mainly with envelope.
  • Awesome. I'm glad I missed this feature !
  • I was wondering, if you use the trigger (or gate) outputs together with the audio outs on your lxr, does it affect the audio quality? For me, as soon as I use the trigger outputs, the audio gets a buzz that makes it completely unusable. Like a high frequency ground loop. I saw another thread that talks about this, but can't immediately find it...
