switch pattern in voice edit mode

I was playing around with my LXR a lot the past few days and I was getting frustrated that I have to be in voice mode to edit patterns, but I have to switch to performance mode to change to another pattern so that I can edit it. Unless I missed something and you can switch patterns in voice mode.

I noticed that it doesn't look like holding shift and then pushing one of the pattern select voices in voice mode does anything, maybe that could be used as a pattern change in voice mode without having to switch to performance and then switch back to voice mode to edit a different pattern?

I could try to help out with the code, I'm not sure how much help I will be, I have done some arduino programming and am taking some javascript courses now, I will poke around the git some more and see if I can figure it out.

Let me know what you think of the idea, or if I just missed something and there is a way to switch patterns in voice mode.

  • shift select in voice mode lets you edit sub-steps. My firmware at least remembers the voice page you were last on, if you want to try that. Also, turning off pattern follow may help depending on what you're doing, and step mode is generally a better mode to be in for manually editing patterns.
