[bug] Filter issue

If the filter frequency is set to value 127 (it will keep working when set to 126) and resonance somewhere near 127, and the frequence of the voice reaches a certain high pitch, the sound get's "stuck" and only a clicking is audible, even if the oscillator frequency is decreased.

The problem occurs when playing a drum on track 1(!) and the preset is switched somewhere between "RedSnap", "Mochito" and "Pop" (number 2 -4). The kick drum disappears and is audible again, when the filter frequency is being decreased.

Hard to tell the problem. I might record it if you want.

  • I got the same issue.
  • sounds like a numerical problem in the filter code. It's quite tricky to get the SVF to work up to nyquist without oversampling and only single precission floats ;)

added to the buglist. should be fixed in the next firmware version.

  • Think I've hit the same bug when changing Sound presets (incidentally, wouldn't 'Kits' be a better name, as 'Sound' suggests a single sound, to me). Selecting the 'Mochita' preset, the kick drum sounds for a few beats, then goes silent. Same issue?

@toneburst Yes, that's the filter issue. As soon as the kick goes silent, go into filter section of the first drum and lower the Frq parameter just a bit and the kick should be back.

Oh and i think it's a great idea to change the name of Sound to Kit ;)
  • I had this problem too. Drum 1 disappeared when changing sounds.

    +1 for Sound > Kit
