MIDI problems -please help

OK, i did some more tests and there is definitely an issue with the LXR receiving MIDI. Some notes are randomly not played. I have an empty pattern selected with no probabilty trigs.
 I just sent the same sequence to another synth and it played perfectly. When I send it to the LXR some notes are occasionally skipped....
any clues?
