My only other experience with drum machines is my TE PO-12. Finished my LXR build today and needless to say I am utterly blown away by this device. In 5 minutes I was noodling out a melody from a drone by turning a single knob. A melody! Droning! With one knob! OMG!

Anyway, I have 2 LED's not working. I've resoldered the joints without taking them fully out but no luck. Is there a way to test if its the LED or the resistor that's busted before I attempt dismantling of these little bits?

LOVE this box btw, I'm just stunned. :D

    Ah, just found some LED troubleshooting stuff on the wiki. I'll go through this first.

    Oddly,one of the chaselight LED's has come good. I guess it was a dodgy joint or the 595 IC not seated properly. Had a go at my missing Snare LED. All continuity checks out up to the LED. So next step is extraction.

    Fixed snare light by resoldering joint.
