During my build, everything was smooth sailing until i got to the part in the instructions where you apply the pins for the OLED/LCD and push down the plastic spacer. I can't even begin to estimate how many joules I used to get the spacer in place.
Pushing the plastic down flush was really difficult with an already populated board, and there were moments I thought I was going to break the pcb. The midi jacks helped, but if I had to push any harder against them I am sure they would have been damaged.
My question is, is there a reason to not put these pins into the board as the first step? It would have been much easier to push the plastic part down if the board was sitting flat on a tabletop. The plastic spacer thing is hands down the hardest part of the build.
