Step 16 - Continuity and voltage test

Hi so i've started my build but got some trouble when measuring the voltages over the 5+ V and GND point at step 16(http://www.sonic-potions.com/lxrAssembly). 

For the continuity it's not showing signs of any short, only the small beep from the capacitors.

When measuring the voltage it's however not showing any measurement at all. 

I've gone through all the solders trying to find any bridges or stuff that i've missed but I can't find anything. 

Does anybody have any hints for where I should look for this issue or where i could do measurements to find the error?

do you measure the 5V as described in step 5?

Is the ferrit bead/inductance soldered correctly (L1)?

When measuring at those points now there its also 0. 

When the voltage was measured at step 5 it showed 4.8 V.

I think it's the correct position? I've attached some closeups.

Hmm, i think my multimeter is broken, it's not reading anything the way they should...

Garbled readings lead to a empty battery in the multimeter...

This was the cause, i've assembled the kit and it's working nicely!
