where is the Source?

edited July 2013 in General
hello altogether
unfortunately i missed the possibility to buy a kit :-(. marked as open souce,
as programmer i am always interested to peek into the guts and perhaps modify
it that i would have a clue when the next batch will be sold....
but somehow i cant find the source, can someone show me the right direction?

many thanks and keep the good work up!

  • it's still on my harddrive.
I will upload it to github once the shipping is done.
I've gotta clean it up a little and add some missing file header descriptions and licence files ;)

  • Any news ?
  • I also want it.
  • I will upload it to github over the weekend.
    sorry for the delay!
  • I think I read somewhere that it's not GPL, under what licence do you publish this?

  • the source is up on github
    https://github.com/SonicPotions/Drumsynth

I decided for a non commercial license.
In the end I have nothing against people using parts of the code for something else, but I'm not okay with allowing people to sell a 1:1 clone of the synth, which would be possible using the GPL.

If somebody wan't to use parts of the source for a commercial project, he can ask me and if it is not a direct clone normally I'd give my ok.
  • Great! Thanks Julian!
  • Thank you very much for your generosity. I'm very much looking forward to reading this.

I've little formal qualifications in software development and nothing in hardware. Everything I've learned I've learned from looking at what other people have done -- which I couldn't, of course, if they didn't release their stuff. Thanks!
  • there are no big secrets in the code ;)
And some parts still need a lot of refactoring for clarity.

All I've learned about DSP is based on ressources like musicDSP, KVR and several webpages.
Same for electronics. 95% what I know about is is learned from other DIY projects.
I'm happy if somebody finds the source usefull!
  • Thank you too for this great piece of code !
I'm a hobbyist programming sound gadgets for STM32F4 Discovery board and I'm glad to see the first pro DIY synth based on this chip !
I'm sure I can find inspiration in your work.
Keep on the good work and congratulations !!!

My projects on Github (not as advanced as yours....) :
