IC socket soldered in wrong direction

So, i managed to solder atmegas DIP40 socket the wrong way. Any tips on desoldering it or can it work like this? Stupid mistake I know..

  • It's no problem at all. Just make shure you insert the Atmega the right way.
  • Or did you mean on the wrong side of the board?
  • Nope, right side but just the small hole on wrong side. Lets hope rest goes well heh.

  • All good and working after some weirdness with the screen, reheated all the joints and bam, everything works!
