IC socket soldered in wrong direction

So, i managed to solder atmegas DIP40 socket the wrong way. Any tips on desoldering it or can it work like this? Stupid mistake I know..

It's no problem at all. Just make shure you insert the Atmega the right way.

Or did you mean on the wrong side of the board?

Nope, right side but just the small hole on wrong side. Lets hope rest goes well heh.

All good and working after some weirdness with the screen, reheated all the joints and bam, everything works!
