Lfo and lxr parameters with ableton or other daw question

edited March 2015 in General
Hello :)
I'm wondering if it would be possible to use ableton or another thing to modulate lxr's parameters as roll / groove / time signature in individual tracks ?
What should i check? Any tips to simulate the"retrigger" feature like on the lxr sequencer?
For info i can get them sync/send midi note.
Thanks

  • This parameters aren't in the midi chart, so i think it would be difficult to modulate them with an external source, and it look's like the internal modulations destinations of the LFO are the same that the parameters that you can control with midi. It seem's that related to this page of the code (not sure).
So it must be possible to change this in the code, but i don't know how yet (perhaps one day; or not, who knows...?).
For the "retrigger" question, you give me the idea to configure the LFO destination to the velocity, or another parameter. Then set the LFO to retrigger on every step (RTG, ON) and place some substep. Interesting results, but probably not what your looking for, sorry, thanks for the idea, i discover another way to play with the LXR.
  • Yeah ok thanks for the info! Can you picture an lfo with tempo/roll/time signature destination and an use of the retrigger function?
I love the retrigger function there is so much to explore ;) .
  • " lfo with tempo/roll/time signature destination" you miss understand me, i don't think this is possible. But, retrigger the lfo on every step with some other destination and place substep, or set the lfo speed at the same sync rate as the roll, could perhaps simulate the roll. I will explore this, but i havn't much time this week  :( stay tuned...
  • Ho yeah i understand that's imposible right now in your messages, i was just thinking of all the possibilities if it was ;).
And yeah i need to explore more what you explain too, there is so much to do!
