This sounds really stupid but how do I create sub steps so I can have more than 16 steps? The manual did nothing but confused me on this.. Also am I right in thinking that I can only load 8 patterns in at one time?
Why can't the architecture be a little more standard, the basic stuff seems to be really hidden... Why can't it have for example say 128 patterns that is the "main screen" with the tempo displayed next to the pattern number followed by the swing or quantisation value. Patterns are selected with the encoder.
These patterns can then be chained into a "song", morphed etc
Having more than 16 steps and still having sub steps.... Ain' no body got time for silly 1 bar loops

I believe that only 8 patterns are available at a time because RAM is a precious comodity on the ARM processor that is being used to do the processing. I honestly think that it would be better to get rid of the substeps and have 8 times as many patterns loadable with pages of patterns. However I am sure that some people feel the opposite way.
