Crashes when I select more than 12 steps

The audio continues to play but the step light stops and sometimes displays strange characters, i have tried reflashing the firmware. Other than that it seems to be working fine (occasionally the screen goes blank when I access some of the voice elements but they are still tweak able so haven't been bothered.

    hi try put vdc to 9V center positive 500+ - and voala.... :)   if you this on 7.5 - i put name this bug :
     Shift + 11 active steps bug:
    its happans when you more than 11 active steps is active and press shift... - i had this, when i have adapter, which has 7.5 VDC - i buy new

    9V/1000mA ET328D - center positive

    and problem is solve - it was only underpower - try and see - i fix this half day, XXX times reinstal os - many os and this little think save my time.. and hope yours too..
     - make vdc to 9v from 7.5 and problems is out.. i hope i help.. :)

    try using a stronger power supply (more mA), since the LED make up most of the LXRs power consumption.
    had a similar bug with random freezes in the interface and audio continuing to play when too many LED are on. didn't have that strange characters, but otherwise the bug sounds very similar.
    the power supply i was using when this bug occured was a very old multi-voltage power supply. the rating said it should be fine, but it actually wasn't.

    my new power supply is only 7.5 V but works fine.
    crappy power supplys tend to drop in voltage when you take "too much" current.
    i would recommend buing a better power supply, not just one with a higher voltage rating.

    jeecz and docp thank you both, i was truthfully expecting the worst possible outcome. Ive just tried a higher power psu and it works perfectly thank you for replying so fast the lxr continues to astound me every day and with forum members like you guys im sure i will have many more.
