Feature idea: change current pattern via MIDI

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find any info about it in the user manual, therefore I don't think this has been implemented.

It would be handy if there was a way to change the current playing pattern via MIDI note. It would allow to create more complicated pattern chains using an external sequencer/computer, whilst still keeping the actual rhythms in the LXR.

It could be done in at least 2 ways (maybe switchable somewhere in the menu):

1) by replicating the pattern change buttons functionality - on a new MIDI note the next pattern is queued and starts playing when the previous patter finished;

2) on a new MIDI note the new pattern starts playing immediately; this could be quantized to the next 16th step.

    Isn't it already possible since some of the later FW versions to do this with Program Change/Bank Change? Or are these only for switching Kits? Maybe I'm just having vague memory from other threads where this thing was discussed. Have to try it when I get to LXR.

    Yeah its already possible as far as I remember, just send PC 1 to 8
