The recent update added 2 special transient modes.
Snappy modeinstead of playing a transient sample, an additional decay EG is applied to the pitch.
Volume controls mod amount, freq the time.
A very fast pitch peak in the beginning can make some sounds more snappy.
Offset mode
First I thought a simple sample of an impulse would be sufficient for good analog style drums, but I was wrong!
In offset mode the transient sample is replaced by a variable start phase for the OSCs.
Volume controls the start phase. "0" = no click, '127' = loud click. The pitch control has no effect.
This click has much more punch than the 2 click transient samples
.

Additionally the soundengine is a little bit rawer when offset mode is selected. In the other modes the amplitude is smoothed a little bit to reduce quantisation noise. While offset mode is selected on the transient page no volume eg smoothing is done at all.
Comments
I will test it once I'm at the LXR again.
so what would you propose? should snap control noise pitch, tonal pitch, or both?
just adding it to the noise part or removing it from the tonal part would be easy and quick. adding another parameter to make it selectable that is only visible when the snap transient is selected not so much
