Long story short I nearly got an LXR a while back but went with an A4 for a number of irrelevant reasons.
I just found out about the CV expansion today and its cheaper than I remember too so i was wondering we could do a VS comparison as sonically the LXR is all I want and more (congrats on the demo or 1hr long track or whatever - I was listening to it and then forgot what I was listening to and then realized was really enjoying it so props peeps)

See the reasons below
lxr:
- 10 outputs, 3 inputs
- clock, trigger and gate
a4:
- 4 outputs
- CV, Hz, clock, trigger and gate
Anything else?
as for the cv options, it has the clock in and out section which is more like pams workout.
then you have the 7 trigg outs, that can be programmed by the sequencer.
if you look at the possibilities the sequencer is offering, you will see that it combines things that make it irreplaceable in an affordable (space and money) way.
e.g. step probability for 7 tracks of synth + midi + cv triggs? in any combination of the three? individual track lengths? performance mode? euclidean pattern generator?
the possibilities are really endless there. replacing all these function with logic-ish eurorack modules would cost you a fortune in money and hp.
if you have an a4 AND an lxr, you will have immense control over your modular.
What envelopes and LFO's and what kind of modulation can you get from the LXR (amazing considering its actually a drum synth)
the outputs are only gate, trigger and clock.
but the internal sounds are very flexible.
too many things to list here, so, i guess the best would be to check the online manual.
