Recommend me a good latching switch for 'shift'

There's getting to be so much awesome functionality piled on the 'shift' button that holding it down is getting to be a pain and I'm thinking it should be a nice, clicky latching switch. Anybody do this mod and have a recommendation for one that would take a minimum of hardware chopping?

    offhandedly I don't know of any matching button.
    for which functionality do you need it?
    you know that in step edit mode (mode button 3) most of the shift button functionality is inverted? So you don't have to hold it down.

    Mostly for part button functions, programming long pattern chains or for doing fast pattern rotation switching. Could put a software option in to make it a toggle i suppose, but momentary operation is probably fine for most!
