LXR + Pure Data???

So Hoxton OWL patches can now be created with Pure Data thanks to the Tännhauser compiler which takes .pd files and outputs pure C.

It would be awesome if this could be leveraged on the LXR as well. I'm imagining a couple of standardized fx slots with a set number of parameters that we could code in Pure Data, run through Tännhauser, rename fx1.c or fx2.c, drop it in, build, upload. Maybe eventually a similar setup for building custom voices?

Thoughts?

  • I think the main problem here would be that the LXR is already using most of the available CPU cycles for the drum synthesis. So I doubt there is much space for additional FX slots.
