Parameter Automation weirdness

I'm getting a strange bug with the parameter automation. Whenever i try to change a parameter, it seems to alter the corresponding step in another pattern.

I'll try making a short description to recreate that bug:
Create a pattern and copy it to the second pattern.
Chain them so that they are alternating.
Go to step-edit mode in the second pattern and automate a value.

On my machine it now alters that value, but in the first pattern. When you go to the first pattern now the same parameter is displayed.
If you change it it sometimes works and sometimes changes the value in the second pattern.

Also i noticed that when  selecting a step in the step-edit mode, both the step and the substep are blinking (in sync when seq is not running and out of sync when its running) but the substep-blinking stops short after. If have the feeling that that is linked to the bug somehow.

I'll investigate further.

  • I'll have a look at this. I already have an idea what may cause this bug. But I'm not at home at the moment to check it ;)
  • That sounds good. :-)

While we're at it. Since there are two parameter automations per track wouldn't it make more sense if i could only select parameters of that specific track. At the moment i can select every parameter of every voice, which makes it a bit tedious to select one (because of the sheer number of parameters) and also could cause conflicts with one parameter being assigned on more than one track.
  • It also does that when i'm locking paramters in voice edit mode.
  • any news?
  • not yet :(
had a lot of other things to do this weekend.
I hope for the bank holliday on thursday to do the next release.
  • ahh, alright.
    kein stress :-)
  • okay, I think I fixed it. The automation parameter edit was made to the playing instead of the viewed pattern.
The fix will be included in the next update. maybe this evening, otherwise on the weekend.

  • just uploaded v0.18 which should fix the parameter automation bug youmentioned.
