Isn't this a contradiction in itself? If you Sync the LXR to something else personally id expect to follow that Masters timing *exactly, not shuffling around some clock- Imagine what will happen if you have 2 different shuffle modes going on - total havoc.
no. Elektron boxes shuffle when synced externally. This is the expected behavior. Shuffling the device which is supplying master clock doesn't make it shuffle either. And about this havoc you speak of you'd shuffle all the devices by a similar amount. You'd use your ear to get it close if the shuffle amounts are disparate from device to device. Also it actually worked in .28 and lower. Been broken ever since.
Well there was some suspicious-looking code, but I don't know enough to tell if it was intentional or has other side effects I sent Julian a patch to check - it's in the 'shuffle' branch in my repo if anyone else wants look - but in the meantime, you can try this firmware (at your own risk)...
I was wondering about that lately... good to hear that it's been identified!
I agree with owensands, shuffle should be independent. Most of the time you have a clock source sending out a straight clock, and then you set the shuffle on the various boxes independently, nice effects can be achieved by using different shuffle settings.
And anyway using a "shuffled" midi clock never worked for me.
i was just running into the same and was really happy to find an immediate solution aka firmware update. thanks julian! another thing i wonder about: is it possible to prevent the lxr from sending shuffle to clock out?
I noticed another issue though. When sending CV clock the clock gets shuffled from the shuffle param. It shouldn't shuffle the clock. The clock should always be solid as a rock.
i don't think the lxr never should shuffle to clock since it can be useful sometimes but it should definately be possible to disable shuffle on clock. i wish i knew how to code then i would implement it by myself..

I'm afraid its more complicated than a little miscalculation bug, but I have a solution in mind.
