Small run of engraved cases - now with costings.
I have interest in a couple of the cases that i showed the week before last.
The wood place has given me an indication on pricing, and its probably not feasible at anything less than 5-off.
So its time to firm up some numbers -
Engraved top and rear panel - GBP 80
Wooden case to fit - GBP 50
Total cost before shipping - GBP 130
The case will be professionally made by a place that makes fancy furniture from reclaimed hard woods. If you like Ikea pine, then the unit will not be of interest to you - the beauty is in the timbers used, but, obviously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
The top panel will be engraved here. The panel in the photo is gloss black with silver writing, but other finishes would likely be possible.
The photographs are of the case and panel that i made. It is imperfect (too many mounting holes, cymbal text under screw hole, gap between rear of case and metal rear panel).
The production units will have these issues addressed.
