Firmware 0.33: Midi confusion

I downloaded the new firmware 0.33 for testing and wanted to continue on my recent track, where I used the LXR as a drum machine to trigger different sounds by using the dedicated midi notes as described in the manual.
The global midi channel was set to 1 and the notes are coming from a daw using the same channel.
After updating to 0.33 I could not play the sounds of the LXR individually using a single midi channel.
Instead, it sounds like all sounds are played and pitched using different notes.
The midi routing is off and filtering is set to "all" for incoming events.
I also tried to use different midi channels for each sound and the global channel, but I could not trigger different sounds on a single channel as before.
Did I missed something?

  • Assuming this was merged as is from my fw, there is a setting on each voice that determines whether it responds only to a specific note, or responds to all notes ("Any"). If set to a specific note it will trigger only when it gets that note (and will send only that note, I believe).
  • you have to set the midi channel of the voices all to the same channel (not the global channel)
and define the midi note there. if note is set to 'any' you can play the voice pitched, if it is set to a note value, it will trigger the voice when this note is received.
  • Thank you, guys!
    I will try this. :)
