Waveform oscillator and LFO

edited April 2014 in General
Hey!
Does anyone can achieve any sound change by changing the oscilator waveform with the lfo's when the osc is set to a sine wave? I can't hear any effect on sine and triangle, others seems ok (i dont tried sample) . Maybe it's because sine is consider has a 0 value?
THANKS

  • I try it, and i can't hear any effect too, on sine and triangle wave. Your probably right cause the manual explain that:
"The destination value is multiplied with the LFO value. That means the destination value is always modulated between its current value and zero. It will never be bigger than the original parameter value, so modulating a parameter that is set to zero won't have any effect"
would explain why when the sine is selected got no effect and when the triangle is selected the value stay always 1 and that in other case the wave change from triangle to the selected wave and not above.
  • Yeah thanks for your try. and i find that if a wav (except sine and triangle)  is selected into the osc, it would change between wav values, if a sample is select it would change only between samples. Need to explore more. @julian Is there a possibilities to add the changes of the lfo even if a sine is selected as a osc? :)
  • no.
I would need to add a special case to the mod matrix code for that.
  • Ho ok that's a pity, since others parameters cant change . I think about the filter type (if lp selected, no change?), the fm wav(if sine selected, no change?), the lfo wav...I need to try, but it would make sense thats they dont change since they have 0 values thats are not 0 values. Maybe for the filter type add the off as the 0 value? Add an off value for the oscillator?  ;)
