went from .27 to .32 and shuffle when set to external synch doesnt seem to work

as title states. .27 I had no issue with midi clock from ableton and analog 4. With .32 shuffle only works when its not slaved it seems. Maybe I have a setting wrong somewhere?

    Still broken. I mis-spoke.
  • Actually I was wrong. I thought I had reinstalled .32 but was still on .28. I reinstalled .32 and I confirmed that shuffle doesn't work if receiving midi clock from my analog four.

  • Any word on this? .32 is pretty much unusable for me without shuffle as the LXR is always synched to my a4.
  • sorry for my late reply.
It's re-ordering and part counting time again here ;)

I don't think the LXR internal shuffle worked on any of the previous firmware versions since at the moment the shuffle is generated by the internal clock, which is replaced by the external clock once MIDI sync is activated.

Did it really work for you with older versions?

I'll try to incllude the shuffle functionality for midi sync in the upcoming update, but I still have to think about the best way to achieve this. I have an idea but have to see if it works.
  • yes it did. It seemed like you had to turn it way up though to get it to work a bit in .28. In .27 it worked great though I think. Thanks Julian!
  • shuffle always worked for me with external sync!

I think I'm on .30 now and I think it still works (not quite sure.. have to look again)

  • just checked with Rudeog's latest firmware and shuffle still works wit external clock
  • Shuffle works for me on .32 with external clock.
  • I can't get this to work in 0.32 either. When its turned up to 127 i hear nothing but it does seem to offset the 1st beat of the pattern ever so slightly. Is this possibly some setting that has been added in a firmware update that is not in the manual, similar to the issue i was having with knob response in the other thread here

I had no idea what "fch" was for and i see a few other menu options that have been added during the firmware upgrade process that are not in the manual

i have only had mine since Saturday though so it's early days
  • Shuffle works for me on .32 with external clock.
external CV clock? Or midi clock?

tried to also clock it from bitwig studio with the USB. Still doesnt shuffle. I was using analog 4 with a standard midi connection previously. For those of you where it works can you give a bit more detail of what you are using to clock it also midi or usb. Midi filter settings on the LXR etc. Also I have the trigger expansion. Do people that have it working have the trigger expansion too?
  • Can anyone tell me where I can get version .27 to roll back to until this is fixed? Not sure I can find it.

Hi Julian, is there any word on this update/fix?

Ok so I did even more testing with this and it turns out that .31 with the variable gate lengths works fine and shuffle works for me. The latest .32 does not.

    So this works:

    And this doesnt:

So im gonna bet that the fix you made to fix LFO sync in midi slave mode broke the shuffle.
