Feature Suggestion: Midi Mode

Does the LXR have the capacity to add a feature whereby you could use a key combination to enter/exit 'midi seq mode' that would allow the existing synth tracks to remain as they are (i.e. playing or whatever they are doing) but the 6 track buttons become extra midi sequencer tracks 8 to 13?

Would make the LXR very useful with the likes of the AKAI MPX16 or any other sequencer-less midi device(s).

  • I like the MIDI-mode idea or at least a trig mode which shouldn't draw to much cpu power.
I tend to use all seven tracks for internal sound and don't really want to use them for trig out to trig my external analog gear/sequencer.
I would be very nice to be able to play all internal voices and then add one track for, for example my SH101 stepseq, one track for my analog sequencer and one for arpeggiator of the Polysix. No midi notes just different trigs.
  • +1 for more tracks (dedicated trigger tracks).

Also, +1 for dedicated "external midi tracks" for sequencing some synths with the great LXR sequencer.
If such an idea could come to life, and if at least one of the "external Midi track" could be polyphonic (3-4 notes), it would be amazing (hello, chords ! hello, external drumachine).
