Who's going? I'll probably be visiting messe on wednesday... maybe also thursday. Not sure yet. So if anyone of you is around, drop me a mail for a meetup
Hey guys have a nice time there! Please make us a report here of the gear you liked . I read this announcment by elektron "Frankfurt Musikmesse, held between 12-15 March, is fast approaching. This year we are located in Hall 5.1, booth B33. If you're around, by all means stop by our booth and try out for example the Analog Rytm. And stay tuned. We have an exciting announcement to make..." Maybe you will want to see what's going on .
hmmm have not seem something new at the elektron booth. maybe they mean this "overbridge" thing => full computer integration for the analogue series? so now you have a vst/au to control them from the DAW
messe was quite fun. but for me it is mostly about meeting people and not so much about listening to new gear on shitty small speakers or cheap headphones
the aira stuff is bigger than expected. I guess al those tiny volca and waldorf boxes made me expect something smaller
the akai rythm wolf is real, but very limited with only tone and EG controls for the 4 drum sounds. maybe a nice toy. could not listen to it because in wednesday it was not connected at all and on thursday it was always very crowded and they only had a tiny pc speaker connected
the waldorf stringcheese thingy is ok. it does exactly what one would expect of a cheesy string synth but nothing more string section has 128 voice polyphony, the bass/epiano section was about 4 voices I think.
in theory yes. practically no. you can order your ticket online on the messe page and print it yourself. there is a field for company name and occupation, but there are no checks. so no buisness registration ID or something like that is needed. also companies that have a booth there normally have some free/discounted vouchers to give away so you could always ask them.

much too crowded and most people I know leave before public day
for meeting people I think thursday was better. But just for looking at gear wednesday is the best.
